Contacting us

The public website links to a registered client portal. Registration collects your client name, email address, cell number, password and recorded POPIA consent. Passwords are stored as hashes. A verification code is sent to your email to confirm account ownership. The portal uses an essential session cookie to keep you signed in; sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity. Selecting Save my information sends your budget, named Property Portfolio, affordability assumptions and property deal inputs to Valor for storage and staff review. Unsaved calculator changes stay in the current page. Vault uploads store the documents you choose to share, including your will, proof of address and ID. Your account can access its own records; authorised Valor staff can review saved client information and download vault documents. Stored client records and documents are encrypted and kept outside the public website directory. Technical security records are retained to protect accounts and track staff access. Printing uses your browser’s print function. If you email us, your message and contact details are used to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to discuss or provide services. Email is handled by the relevant mail provider and retained according to the applicable business and legal requirements.

Website operation

The public site does not add analytics or advertising trackers. The client portal has an account login and essential session cookies. The web host may process basic technical logs, such as IP address and access time, to operate and protect the site. Fonts are requested from Google Fonts when your browser loads the site.

You may contact us to ask how your personal information is handled, to request access or correction, or to raise a privacy concern. South African data protection rights may apply under POPIA.
